Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) from a recognized institute

• Level II, NDT qualification (VT, RT, PT, UT and MT) is a must.
• Membership/ Qualification of professional bodies such as Indian Institute of Welding (IWE/ IWT), American Welding Society (AWS), CSWIP, American Petroleum Institute (API), Institute of Chartered Engineers. etc. is preferable.

4 - 8 (B.E.) / 5 -12 (DME) years post qualification experience in inspection / QA-QC activities

Inspection/Quality Surveillance of shop fabrication / site construction in crude oil / gas refinery sector/ petrochemical/ chemicals industry/ Power Sector of - pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, other equipment, Storage tanks, line pipes, cross country pipelines, Plant Piping, structures, materials, NDT.

• NDT - ASNT / ISNT - LEVEL II / III (UT/RT/MT/PT/VT/LT/ET) with valid certificates
• Excellent inspection skills; Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, boilers and components thereof.  Should be familiar with manufacturing processes related to fabrication, welding control, heat treatment, inspection, testing, preservation, packing, Operation & maintenance of such equipment.
• Welding procedure/ welder qualifications- WPS/ PQR/ WPQ
• Plates, Piping Components / Fittings, Flanges, Pipes, Tubes, Welded Pipes, Fasteners, Gaskets; Fully conversant with materials and material testing.
• Valves, Castings, Forgings – API / ASTM  
• Structural Fabrication & Erection (AWS D1.1)
• Piping Fabrication, NDT (B 31.3)
• Storage tanks, API 650; Cryogenic storage tanks API 620
• Sound knowledge of National/ International Standards and codes such as IS, ASTM, ASME SECTIONS – II, VIII Div.1 , IX,  V;  API  etc.  EN/ BS/ DIN/ AD 2000
• Manufacture, testing and laying of oil and gas pipeline/ line pipe at pipe mill
• Pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment. Must have carried out/ witnessed performance tests, running trials. Knowledge of applicable codes such as API etc.
• Currently Working with Third Party Inspection Agency will add an advantage.
