Job Responsibility

  • Lead the business in the India region, taking ownership of profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Build and manage a team of engineers, assigning them to projects based on their competency and job requirements.
  • Appoint project engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
  • Optimize the utilization of project engineers for efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain a competency matrix for engineers, tracking their skills and expertise.
  • Monitor engineers' performance in accordance with TUV procedures.
  • Identify training needs and organize training programs for engineers.
  • Promotion of exchange of information within the group.
  • Develop and train team members to enhance their project capabilities.
  • Support in meeting requirements of European Directives for Machinery, Low Voltage, EMI/EMC in-line to the commitments to client. 
  • Support in meeting requirements of European Directives for ATEX directives and IECEx in-line to the commitments to client. 
  • Support in meeting requirements of IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 13849, IEC 62061 standards.
  • Support Cluster Head in preparation of budget based on TUV India guidelines and growth plan.
  • Define and communicate the scope and objectives of the product/service, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Devise sales strategy for all services in order to meet growth targets.
  • Assist the Head - Business Development in driving product certification growth.
  • Take responsibility for new business development within the scope of TUV India's product certification services.
  • Plan project execution to achieve monthly sales targets in the India region.
  • Keep management updated on invoicing status.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive management system to oversee the product/service lifecycle efficiently.
  • Monitor and assess product/service performance, using key metrics, customer feedback, and market research.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations through accreditation and certification control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities and maximize product/service success.
  • Co-ordinate with Notified Bodies to expedite projects to meet delivery deadlines. 
  • Report and address any client dissatisfaction or complaints promptly.
  • Visit clients to resolve issues or address complaints if necessary.
  • Review projects and maintain/improve quality of processes and deliverables.
  • Be responsible for QHSE requirements applicable for the relevant services.
  • Support the recruitment process for technical positions as needed.
  • Be responsible leadership and management of employees according to the code of ethics and values of TNG and ensuring a working atmosphere that promotes productivity.
  • Be responsible to ensure team building, competence building and enhancement and motivation of the employees assigned to them with necessary support from HR.

Attributes

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the product certification industry.
  • Familiarity with 2014/34/EU, 2006/42/EC, 2014/35/EU, 2014/30/EU, IEC 61508, IEC 61511, ISO 13849, IEC 62443, IEC/EN 60079 series and other compliance requirements related to product certification.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of effectively managing P&L.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and business growth.
