Inspections of mechanical equipment

TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o. is the holder of the accreditation granted by Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA, o.p.s.).

The subject of accreditation is the inspection activity in the area of machinery within the scope specified in the annex to the Certificate of Accreditation.

The safety assessment of the machinery is divided into two basic parts:

• Safety assessment of new machinery
• Safety assessment of operated machinery

• Safety assessment of newly manufactured machinery with respect to the fulfilment of fundamental health and safety requirements pursuant to the Government Regulation No. 176/2008 Coll., which stipulates technical requirements for machinery (Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council / the Machinery Directive)
• Hazard identification and risk assessment in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 12100, including the draft measures to eliminate or reduce risks
• Assessment of the level of safety functions performed by the safety-related parts of a control system of the machinery according to ČSN EN ISO 13849-1
• Assessment of the accompanying technical documentation
• Technical assistance during conformity assessment, upon performance of the tests required by harmonized technical standards and when issuing the EC declaration of conformity

• Safety assessment of machinery with respect to the fulfilment of the minimum requirements for safe operation and use according to the Government Regulation No. 378/2001 Coll. (Directive 2009/104/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work equipment by workers at work
• Draft measures to eliminate the non-conformities identified
• Safety assessment of the electrical equipment of the machines in accordance with ČSN EN 60204-1 ed. 2
• Hazard identification and risk assessment in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 12100, including the draft measures to eliminate and reduce risks
• Assessment of the operational technical documentation
• Processing of a local operational safety regulation

New and operated machinery are assessed according to the work procedure TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o. No PP 9.4.5n, which sets out a uniform procedure for verification and certifying the conformity of the product with the requirements of the documentation binding for the given product (machinery). The binding documentation for the verified product is valid legislation (EU directives, laws, government regulations, decrees and related technical standards) and the contractual terms agreed with the client.
