On 15th – 16th of April 2019, we participated in the 11th ATOMEXPO Forum 2019, which took place in Sochi (Russia), and together with the ROSATOM, ROSTEKHNADZOR, WNA and RASU JSC representatives we discussed a topic on "Responsible Consumption and Production: Quality Management in the Nuclear Industry´s Supply Chains for International Projects" at a roundtable discussion.
More than 6,000 delegates from 60 world countries discussed in the ATOMEXPO 2019 this year´s main topics:
- innovations in the nuclear industry (including artificial intelligence, "Big Data"...)
- Human Resources: According to OECD, more than 35 per cent of current employees are not compatible with employer´s demands and the gap continues to expand. Experts estimate that a lack of professionals results in a shortfall of USD 2.1 trillion in profits for the global economy each year
- impact of the nuclear industry on sustainable development declared by the UN
- trends in non-energy applications of nuclear and radiation technologies in industry, science, healthcare and agriculture (e.g. nuclear batteries, nuclear technologies in space exploration)
Our colleague, Mr. Jörg Aign, appointed Executive Vice President of the Nuclear Technology segment in the Industrial Service business unit of TÜV NORD, was one of the speakers at the roundtable discussion (on Tuesday 16 April) with the topic on "Responsible Consumption and Production: Quality Management in the Nuclear Industry´s Supply Chains for International Projects".
