Certification of NDT specialists

TUV Nord Baltik offers certification of non-destructive testing (NDT) personnel in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9712 standard in the following methods:

• AT        Acoustic emission testing
• VT        Visual testing
• ЕТ        Eddy current testing
• PТ        Penetrant testing
• МТ        Magnetic testing
• RТ        Radiographic testing
• RT-D      Radiographic digital testing
• LT         Leak testing
• TT         Thermographic testing
• UТ        Ultrasonic testing
• PAUT     Ultrasonic testing – Phased Arrays
• TOFD   Ultrasonic testing - Diffraction-Time*.

Certification is carried out based on the composition of a candidate's exam obtained from a recognized examination center in the following product sectors:

• (c) castings (ferrous and nonferrous materials)
• (f) forgings (all types of forgings: ferrous and non-ferrous materials)
• (w) welds (all types of welds, including soldering, for ferrous and non-ferrous materials
• (t) tubes and pipes (seamless, welded, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including flat products for the manufacturing of welded pipes)
• (wp) wrought products except forgings (e.g. plates, bar, rods)
• (p) composite materials

in the following industrial sectors:

• (a) Manufacturing
• (b) pre- and in-service testing which includes manufacturing
• (c) railway maintenance
• (d) aerospace.
