What is Information technology Service management?

ISO/IEC 20000-1 (formerly BS15000) is the international standard specifically for IT service management system. The standard identify and manage key processes related to the efficient delivery of information technology services to meet the business needs of customers.

The standard is based on best practices of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). ISO/IEC 20000-1 introduces a service culture and provides a methodology for service delivery to meet authentic business needs and top priorities in a manageable way.
