- Manage day-to-day Chemical Laboratory operations to ensure efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor laboratory performance, turnaround time (TAT), and team KPIs.
- Oversee laboratory equipment, facilities, and chemical inventory to ensure operational readiness.
- Review and approve laboratory test results and respond to customer inquiries by providing clear explanations of the test results.
Quality Management
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Laboratory Management System in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Ensure effective quality control of testing activities and accuracy of test results.
- Support internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and laboratory accreditation.
Technical Management
- Supervise chemical testing activities and provide technical guidance to laboratory staff.
- Review testing methods, SOPs, validation, verification, and measurement uncertainty.
- Ensure technical competence and compliance with laboratory standards.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop Chemical Laboratory personnel.
- Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.
- Support competency development and technical training.
Equipment & Laboratory Resources
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and available for operation.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure sufficient testing materials and chemicals.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality.
- Promote 5S and best laboratory practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and operational performance.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Chemical Laboratory operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory quality systems.
- Experience in chemical testing, method validation, and quality control.
- Good command of English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LIMS and laboratory digital systems.
- Knowledge of measurement uncertainty, method validation, and laboratory accreditation.
- Experience managing laboratory teams.
