10-15 years relevant experience in Nuclear Industry

Job Responsibility

  • Review technical and performance requirements to ensure a safe, reliable, and PWR design.
  • Review the project information including site data, grid interface, climatic and seismic conditions, water source, and infrastructure considerations.
  • Review the plant operating requirements including unit power ratings, capacity factors, availability, load-following capability, and outage benchmarks.
  • Review the unit operating philosophy covering operating modes, reactor control approach, automation levels, redundancy, and human–machine interface.
  • Review the plant layout requirements ensuring separation of safety and non-safety systems, radiation zoning, access control, and seismic categorization.
  • Review the requirements for geotechnical investigations including borehole drilling, sampling, laboratory and in-situ testing.
  • Review the excavation and foundation design requirements are aligned with site-specific geotechnical data, including slope stability, dewatering, and ground improvement.
  • Review the foundation design complies with applicable nuclear safety codes considering seismic, settlement, and bearing capacity criteria.
  • Review the requirements for preparation of Geotechnical Investigation Reports (GIR), Design Basis Reports (DBR), and Foundation Design Reports (FDR).
  • Review the options for fuel cycle, spare parts, auxiliary systems, and technical alternatives.
  • Review the overall design basis and safety philosophy including safety classification, regulatory framework, reliability, and maintainability criteria.
  • Review the specifications for reactor and primary systems including core design, reactor coolant system, containment, and control & protection systems.
  • Review the specifications for secondary and balance of plant systems including steam cycle, turbine-generator, cooling systems, condenser systems, and water treatment systems.
  • Review the requirements for safety and safeguard systems including ECCS, containment isolation, decay heat removal, fire protection, and radiation monitoring.
  • Review the requirements for civil and structural works including seismic design, radiation shielding, containment integrity, and layout for tendering.
  • Review the equipment sizing criteria for key systems such as reactor coolant systems, steam generators, turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers considering design margins and redundancy.
  • Review the electrical and instrumentation & control systems including power distribution, grid interface, control architecture, cybersecurity, and redundancy.
  • Review the fuel cycle and waste management requirements including fuel handling, spent fuel management, radioactive waste handling, and decommissioning approach.
  • Review the compliance with national and international standards and define QA/QC and inspection requirements.
  • Review the performance guarantees and testing requirements covering efficiency, availability, and design, factory, and site testing stages.
  • Review the and manage design documentation including technical specifications, data sheets, and document control procedures.
  • Conduct review meetings for each contract and initiate necessary actions to improve performance and productivity.
  • Document customer complaints and feedback and create action plans to meet customer expectations.
