Qualification

  • Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Production/ Industrial/Railways) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the railway industry.
  • Should have completed minimum one project in SIL and RAMS
  • Must have undergone training on IEC 61508, IEC 62278 (EN 50126), IEC 62279 (EN 50128), IEC62425 (EN 50129), and IEC 62280 (EN 50159).

Job Responsibility

  • The job incumbent is responsible for conducting independent safety assessments and functional safety level (SIL, Level I- IV) for railway components, subsystems, and systems like signalling and rolling stock.
  • Shall carry out Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) and Independent Software Assessor (ISwA) Service in accordance with the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety System Assurance (RAMS SA) requirements for the Power Supply Receiving & Distribution System, 750 V DC Third Rail Traction Electrification, and SCADA System, as specified in Attachment 1.
  • The work of ISA and ISwA activities shall comply with the standards (or equivalent) including EN 50126-1, EN 50128, EN 50129 and IEC 61508.
  • ISA Metro- Independent safety assessment (ISA) and certification for metro signaling & train control systems, covering systems like automatic train operation, automatic train protection, automatic train control, electronic interlocking, platform screen doors and all their interfaces.
  • ISA Mainline- Independent safety assessment (ISA) and certification for mainline signaling and train control systems including train protection system such as TPWS/ETCS/TCAS, electronic interlocking and their interfaces.
  • ISA Generic products – Independent safety assessment (ISA) and certification of generic Signaling products/subsystems – Independent safety assessment including independent verification & validation of hardware and software subsystems, leading to certification of generic signaling product/subsystems as per defined safety integrity level.
  • Project experience in the Railway Signaling & Train Control System domain, with applicable technical standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 62278 (EN 50126), IEC 62279 (EN 50128), IEC62425 (EN 50129), and IEC 62280 (EN 50159).
