The Common Resource Pool Manager/Sr Manager is responsible for Recruiting, Managing, optimizing and deploying shared technical resources across multiple Projects/Profit Centers within Inspection Services BU. The role ensures the right talent is available at the right time, maximize utilization, maintains skill visibility, and supports efficient Service Delivery to BU’s customers.
1. Resource recruitment, planning & allocation:
- Coordinate with Profit Centre Heads/Cluster Head and operation heads to understand resource requirements.
- Initiate recruitment as per Organizational process, Allocate resources based on skills, availability, project priority and business demand.
- Maintain a forward- looking resource deployment plan to avoid conflicts and short fall in timely services to the client.
- Ensure transparent and fair distribution of common resources.
2. Resource Utilization & Optimization
- Track and improve utilization levels across the common resource pool.
- Identify under-utilized or over-utilized resources and initiate corrective actions.
- Define & Implement processes to balance workloads and avoid bench time.
3. Skill Management & Development
- Maintain an updated skill inventory and competency matrix for the entire resource pool.
- Identify skill gaps and co-ordinate with L&D for training, upskilling/cross-skilling/multiskilling.
- Promote multi-skilling to improve deployment flexibility.
4. Forecasting & Demand Management
- Work with Business development and PC teams to forecast short and long-term resource needs
- Provide data-driven insights on hiring needs or sub-contractor requirements
- Ensure adequate readiness for upcoming projects
5. Stakeholder Co-ordination
- Serve as a central liaison between Business, HR, Finance and Corporate Services
- Facilitate periodic resource planning and review meetings with key stakeholders.
- Handle escalations related to resource conflicts pr deployment issues.
6. Systems Data & Reporting
- Maintain real time records in resource management tools.
- Generate Dashboards on Hiring, utilization, availability, skill mapping and forecast gaps.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and audits.
7. People Management
- Provide guidance, support, and performance visibility to all common pool resources.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and deployment for new joiners.
- Drive employee engagement and resolve resource-related issues proactively.
