Mechanical Inspector (IWE/IWT/IWS)

Location

Gujarat and West Bengal

Reporting To

Head Quality / General Manager

Experience

  • Minimum 10 Years of Experience
  • Inspection experience in Railway Sector and in Bridges preferred else in Heavy Structural Fabrication
     

Qualification

  • B.E./ B. Tech Mechanical 
  • Knowledge on IS / ASTM / ASNT Codes, Material Testing
  • Qualified in ASNT / ISNT NDT Level II 
  • Qualified in IWE/IWT/IWS
     

Job Profile

  • To Witness Welding Procedure Qualification Test, Witness NDT Test performed and Witness Destructive Test at NABL lab.
  • To inspect during the mock test fabrication the following stages not limited to. 
  1. Ram Material-Steel Plate Receipt Inspection
  2. Welder Qualification
  3. Components Preparatory Process Stage Inspection-Viz-CNC Cutting, Drilling and Beveling.
  4. To Witness Weld Joint Fit Up, Root Weld and Associated NDT
  5. Random Surveillance of Welding Consumables Control, Welding Parameters, Welding Process, Welder Check
  6. To carry out dimensional check
  7. Weld Final Inspection
  8. Witness of NDT of Weld- UT, MPI, PT
  9. Layout Assembly check, Match Drilling.
  • Adherence to Codes and Standards (Knowledge of Codes and Standards)
  • Review of  Methodology Statement/ Process Flow/ ITP/ Test Plan
  • Preparing Daily, Weekly and Monthly Inspection Reports.
  • Reporting Non Conformance, Identifying Route Cause and Recommending Corrective action.
