Degree or Diploma Engineers + 3 Years work experience
Qualification
B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgical Engg. Streams.
Job Profile
- Inspection/Quality Surveillance of stage wise activities during LPG Cylinder manufacturing.
- Inspection of raw material, review of material test certificates (MTC).
- Visual, dimensional, hydrostatic Test, Pneumatic test, Burst Test, powder coating, Surface preparation & Painting of LPG cylinders.
- Testing of Plates, Piping Components / Fittings, Flanges, Pipes, Fasteners, Gaskets in accordance with relevant standards.
- Review of heat treatment charts for stress Relieving and normalizing.
- Review of test reports for various tests on raw material and final product.
- Ensure identification and traceability of raw material to final product.
- Ensure validity and traceability of measuring instruments to National standards.
- Visual inspection of weld joints.
- Final dimension check of LPG cylinders using calibrated measuring instruments.
- Verification of marking on cylinders as per IS and PESO requirements.
- Review and endorsement of final documents
Attributes
- Past Inspection experience with LPG cylinder manufacturer (Preferred).
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Awareness about various grades of Carbon Steel, material inspection and specification requirements.
- Working knowledge of welding procedures and welder qualifications, weld visual Inspection.
- Awareness about IS 3196 P1 to P3, IS 7307 Part I, IS 7310 Part I, IS 817 will be preferred..
- Exposure to heat treatment processes like Stress relieving and normalising.
- Data collection and report writing.
- Experience of inspection of LPG cylinders, fabricated equipment like pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Storage tanks, materials (Preferred).
- Hands on experience on measuring instruments like Vernier calliper, Micro meter, thickness gauge, thread gauge will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of surface preparation and painting.
