ISO 17100 System for Translation Services

ISO 17100:2015 is a new specialized International Standard applicable to the translation services sectors, both for companies providing translation services and for departments of companies involved in translation. ISO 17100:2015 replaces EN 15038:2006.

The ISO 17100:2015 standard provides requirements for key processes, resources, and other aspects necessary for the provision of quality translation services that meet the applicable standards.

The implementation of ISO 17100:2015 also provides the means by which a translation service provider (TSP) can demonstrate the compliance of its specific translation services with ISO 17100:2015 and the ability of its processes and resources to deliver a translation service that will meet client specifications and other applicable standards.

The certification of an organisation to the requirements of ISO 17100:2015 provides significant benefits:
