The scope of the Lifting Worker Certification Scheme applies to workers employed in the field of lifting and transporting loads. In particular, such a worker is responsible for tying, securing and weighing cargo with lifting equipment (slings, wire ropes, chains, wrenches, etc.). In cooperation with the hoist operator, ensure the safe execution of cargo lifting operations. In particular, such an employee usually works or wishes to work in:
 Industrial facilities such as refineries, metallurgy, chemical industries, etc.
 Construction sites.
 Port facilities.
 Facilities where lifting operations are performed.
 Construction work
 Civil engineering projects
