The TUV HELLAS scheme Specialist in Explosives & Charging Management (Basic & -
Advanced level) refers to a qualified professional who has as his/her object the management of explosives for commercial use (civil explosives), i.e. those used for the extraction of rocky geological formations - as well as the carrying out of mining operations using these materials (charging & detonation of drill holes) in mines, quarries & technical projects.

 

Cognitive framework (syllabus)

  • Basic technical characteristics & properties of explosives & ignition media
  • Legislation and regulations relevant to the principles of explosives & firing agents management with regard to supply, transport, storage & handling (loading & unloading) & application on site (use - safety measures - management of fires)
  • Extraction of rocks and blasting planning in underground and surface work fronts
  • Blast mechanism.

Minimum Compulsory education, blaster's licence, relevant work experience, age 18 to 60 and technical training
