The Design Thinking Practitioner TÜV HELLAS scheme refers to a qualified professional who applies the Design Thinking methodology, which places the needs of the user at the centre of the design of a service, product or process. Through the use of various techniques and tools, such as challenge definition, user research framework, persona, user journey map, storyboard, service blueprint, prototyping etc., solutions to challenges faced by a business, organisation or system are tested and redesigned.

 

Cognitive framework (syllabus)

1.Introduction to Design Thinking

  • Definition of Design Thinking
  • Who can apply Design Thinking?
  • Differentiating Design Thinking from traditional methods of addressing challenges
  • Importance of putting user needs at the heart of design

 

2.Empathize

  • Understanding the importance of Empathy
  • Apply effective techniques to collect data and understand user needs
  • Develop communication and collaboration skills with users to analyse and understand their different views and needs.

 

3.Ideate

  • Apply different techniques and tools to generate and evaluate multiple options and ideas.
  • Develop innovative & creative skills to produce new prototype solutions.
  • Develop skills to evaluate and select the most appropriate ideas

 

4.Prototype

  • Create prototypes that accurately reflect the solutions developed during the "Ideate" phase.
  • Familiarisation with the use of prototyping tools and techniques to create effective prototypes.
  • Develop an understanding of the functionality and effectiveness of the prototypes in order to improve and prepare for the implementation of the final solution

 

5.Implement

  • Apply project management and scheduling techniques to effectively manage tasks and resources during implementation.

Develop competencies to design and execute pilot projects and test phases to improve and test the operation of solutions.
