Shape field (scope)

  1. The Security - DigComp Certified User scheme applies to users able to mitigate risks and take security measures to protect personal data in different contexts (social networks, email, etc.), as well as to recognize the environmental impact of digital technologies.
  2. The Security - DigComp Certified User scheme is offered in its entirety, as it can also be subdivided into four sub-schemes and three levels:

Device Protection

 

It is concerned with protecting devices and digital content and understanding risks and threats in digital environments.

Protection of personal data and privacy

 

It concerns the protection of personal data and privacy in digital environments, as well as understanding the use and sharing of personal, identifiable information and awareness of Privacy Policy of digital services.

 

Protection of Health and Well-being

 

This concerns the avoidance of health risks and threats to physical and psychological well-being when using digital technologies, and the use of digital technology as a means of achieving social well-being and social inclusion.

 

 

Environmental protection

 

This refers to knowledge of the environmental impact of digital technologies in their use.

 

Candidates who have been certified in one of the sub-categories may apply for another by taking a supplementary examination.
