Contact and Cooperation - DigComp Certified User

The Communication and Collaboration - DigComp Certified User scheme applies to users competent in the use of digital tools and technologies in collaborative processes (social networks, online conferencing, online discussion, etc.), in the collaborative creation of appropriate data and resources, as well as in the ability to use public and private digital services and to manage a digital identity.

The Communication and Collaboration- DigComp Certified User scheme is offered in its entirety, as well as it can be subdivided into six sub-schemes and three levels:

Description

Interaction through Digital Technologies

Relates to interacting through a variety of digital technologies and understanding the appropriate means of digital communication for a given context

Communicating through Digital Technologies

Refers to sharing data, information and digital content with others through appropriate digital technologies, as well as acting as an intermediary who is aware of reporting and attribution practices.

Digital Citizen Participation

This refers to participation in society through the use of public and private digital services, as well as seeking opportunities for self-empowerment and participatory citizenship through appropriate digital technologies.

Cooperation through Digital Technologies

This refers to the use of digital tools and technologies for collaborative processes and for the co-creation and co-creation of data, resources and knowledge.

Code of Conduct on the Internet

It concerns knowledge of the rules of conduct and expertise in using digital technologies, as well as the adaptation of communication strategies to specific audiences and knowledge of cultural and generational diversity in digital environments.

Digital identity management

This refers to the creation and management of one or more digital identities, the protection of one's own identity, and the management of the data produced through multiple digital tools, environments and services.

 

Candidates who have been certified in one of the sub-areas may apply for another by taking a supplementary examination.

Code of Conduct on the Internet

 

  • Managing appropriate, annoying or unwanted correspondence on the Internet
  • Managing emotions when using the Internet and recognising hostile, aggressive or degrading behaviour online

 

Digital identity management

 

  • Creating and managing profiles in digital environments
  • Digital footprint in online environments - Verification and modification of metadata
