Shape field (scope)
The TÜV HELLAS Refrigeration Technician Scheme involves a qualified technician capable of performing assembly, installation, connection, repair, replacement, testing, maintenance, operation supervision and inspection of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and heat pumps in the domestic, commercial, building, industrial and transport sectors, with simultaneous leakage control and recovery-management of fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Cognitive framework (syllabus)
- Basic thermodynamics
- Environmental impact of refrigerants and corresponding environmental regulations
- Checks before commissioning, after a long period of inactivity, after interventions, maintenance or repair or during operation
- Checks for leaks
- Environmentally friendly handling of the system and refrigerant during installation, maintenance, servicing or recovery
- Component: installation, commissioning and maintenance of reciprocating, screw and scroll compressors, single-stage or two-stage
- Element: installation, commissioning and maintenance of air-cooled and water-cooled condensers
- Element: installation, commissioning and maintenance of air-cooled and water-cooled evaporators
- Component: installation, commissioning and servicing of thermostatic expansion valves and other components
- Piping: creation of a watertight pipe network in refrigeration installations
- Information on relevant technologies that replace or reduce the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases and safe handling of the above technologies.
