TÜV HELLAS has developed its own subsidiaries in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region, specifically in Cyprus, Lebanon and Egypt.
TÜV HELLAS is one of the first subsidiaries of TÜV NORD worldwide (1987).
Following the global development of TUV NORD, it has developed its own subsidiaries in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region - a geographical area for which, together with the Balkans, it is responsible for the development and coordination of TÜV NORD.
The first such subsidiary in the form of TUV LEBANON Branch Office of TÜV HELLAS was developed in Lebanon in 2005. The main activity of the Branch Office is the inspection of all fruit and vegetables exported from Lebanon as well as the cooperation with EDL (Electricité de Liban).
The second subsidiary in the form of TUV CYPRUS LTD was developed in Cyprus in 2007. The participation of TÜV HELLAS is 75% and the main activities of the company are Systems Certifications and Inspections of Installations and Constructions. TUV CYPRUS is today the leading company in the field of certifications in Cyprus.
The third subsidiary in the form of SA was developed in Egypt in 2010. TÜV HELLAS has a 51% shareholding (TUV NORD 9%) and the main activities of TUV EGYPT are Systems Certification, Certification in the Agri-Food Sector and Inspections in the Oil & Gas Sector. The company has already certified some of the largest Egyptian companies.
