EPC Certification

What is EPC Certification?

A qualification certificate issued after assessing the comprehensive capabilities (covering design, procurement, construction, and project management) of a PV plant EPC contractor.

Why is EPC certification required?

For EPC company:

it is an authoritative proof of their EPC full chain capability, enhancing market competitiveness and helping to obtain project orders;

For property owners (such as investors and power station developers):

as an important basis for selecting EPC general contractors, it reduces the risks caused by design defects, poor construction quality, etc. in the project;

For industry:

Promote standardization in the photovoltaic EPC market, improve overall project construction quality, and ensure the long-term reliable operation of photovoltaic power stations.

Assessment Focus:

Design Capabilities:

Possesses industry-standard photovoltaic system design capabilities, including site assessment, system configuration, and power generation estimation;

Procurement Management Capability:

Ability to standardize procurement of equipment (modules, inverters, etc.) and materials, ensuring supply chain compliance, equipment quality, and cost control;

Construction Capability:

Technical proficiency of construction teams, adherence to construction standards (e.g., module installation, cable laying, grid connection commissioning), and safety management systems (e.g., high-altitude work, electrical safety).

Project Management Capabilities:

Ability to control project schedule, cost, and quality, whether standardized project management processes are established (e.g., progress tracking, risk contingency plans, acceptance specifications).

Performance and Compliance:

Quality of completed PV EPC projects, client evaluations, and compliance with environmental, safety, and power industry regulations.
