The Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 specify the requirements that relevant products must meet before being placed on the UK market. Manufacturers and installers must demonstrate product safety by complying with the "Essential Health and Safety Requirements".
Applicable products: pressure equipment and assemblies with a maximum allowable pressure PS greater than 0.5 bar.
- Pressure equipment: refers to containers, pipes, safety accessories, and pressure accessories, including elements attached to pressure parts (such as flanges, nozzles, couplings, supports, lifting lugs, etc., where applicable).
-Assemblies: refers to several pressure equipment components assembled by the manufacturer to form an integrated and functionally complete whole.
