ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 Revisions - Workshops

Understanding and implementing the changes to ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 14001:2015

We will be holding ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 revision workshops at venues nationwide following final release of the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards later this year.

The ISO 9001:2015 revision

For many years, the internationally-recognised ISO 9001 Standard has provided the basis for efficient quality management and successful quality assurance for a wide variety of organisations.

It is anticipated that towards the end of 2015 the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will issue the updated version of the Quality Management System (QMS) standard, ISO 9001.

The ISO 14001:2015 revision

The revision of the international Standard ISO 14001 for environmental management has been under way since early 2012 with ISO 14001:2015 replacing the version from 2004.

As with ISO 9001:2015 it is anticipated that towards the end of 2015 the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) will issue the updated version of the Environmental Management System (EMS) standard, ISO 14001.

The changes to both standards are expected to be significant, with the introduction of a new risk based approach and a change from 8 to 10 clauses.

The ten new paragraph headings could be as follows:

  1. Scope
  2. Normative reference
  3. Terms and definitions
  4. Context of the organisation
  5. Leadership
  6. Planning
  7. Support
  8. Operation
  9. Performance evaluation
  10. Improvement

There will also be a stronger process approach and increased consideration of risks.
