ISO 9001

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is an international standard that provides requirements for quality management systems. It is one of the most recognised standards that can be used by companies and institutions of all sizes for a variety of products and services, from all industries anywhere in the world. Meeting the requirements of the standard allows you to monitor your activities to ensure that the needs and requirements of your customers and higher-level requirements are met.

What are the benefits of the ISO 9001?

  • competitive advantage in marketing activities

Internal benefits:

  • stability and repeatability of processes, and consequently their results, meeting customers' requirements and applicable legal and other requirements which the organisation is obliged to meet
  • securing and maintaining organisational governance by clearly defined procedures as well as responsibilities and powers
  • providing unambiguous data and information from monitoring and measuring of products, services as well as processes to be used for organisational management and continuous improvement
  • improving the company's business efficiency

ISO 9001 certification by an accredited certification body demonstrates a commitment to quality, a desire for continuous improvement and is the culmination of the company's efforts in pro-quality activities.

Certification process

There are two stages in ISO 9001 certification process. Stage I is an assessment of the readiness of the management system for certification, and Stage II involves verification of the effective functioning of the management system within the organisation.

ISO 9001 certification includes, among other things, a review of the quality policy, procedures, an analysis of quality objectives and verification that the established quality objectives are both measurable and achievable. The evaluation of the implementation of the management system is carried out through interviews with management and employees, a review of documents and documented information, and through observation of the system areas and implemented processes.

Following successful certification, a certificate of compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 will be issued for a period of three years. After the first and second year, surveillance audits are carried out to verify that the management system is effective, improved and continues to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 standard.
