The ADR agreement concerns safety in the international transport of dangerous goods by road
The ADR Agreement on Safety in the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road" is named after the initials of the French words "Accord European relatif au transport international des merchandises dangereuses par route". The harmonization of the ADR Agreement in the Greek legislation has been done by the Ministerial Decision No. G5/145078 (Government Gazette 3302B/21.07.2021).
The Agreement refers to the safe transport of dangerous goods - including explosives, liquefied gases (such as propane and butane), flammable liquids (such as petrol and oil), acids. It also refers to the specific requirements to be met by vehicles and their drivers.
The checks on tank-vehicles are divided into three categories:
TÜV HELLAS is recognized by the Greek Legislation according to 35043/2524 (Government Gazette 1385B /02.09.10) through its recognized experts and its facilities approved by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and provides periodic inspection services for the inspection of dangerous goods vehicles. To date, it has inspected more than 1,000 dangerous goods vehicles of various types (box, elliptical or cylindrical - three-axle, superimposed, trains).
