Construction Products

In the construction sector, the effort to establish unified rules and specifications began with Directive 89/106/EEC (internationally known as CPD – Construction Products Directive). In 2011, the Directive was replaced by the European Regulation for the Certification of Construction Products (305/2011).

As of July 1st, 2013, all construction products placed on the European Union market must bear the CE marking. The CE marking indicates that the product complies with the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR). However, this does not mean that the product is suitable for all possible uses—it signifies that it conforms to the declared performance as stated by the manufacturer.

TÜV HELLAS is a pioneer as a Notified Certification Body for selected construction products whose CE marking requires certification by a notified body. In addition to its EU notification under number 0654, TÜV HELLAS maintains partnerships with recognized laboratories and bodies across Central Europe for various products falling under Regulation 305/2011.
