This 3‑day ISO 21434 Cyber Security Management Systems (CSMS) Online Training provides you with the knowledge to prevent cyberattacks on vehicles by complying with existing regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers and the public.
In this training, you will build a solid understanding of the UNECE regulation, which forms the foundation for implementing a Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS). Through practical examples, you will learn how to apply the requirements of ISO 21434. Together, we develop effective methods and tools for a CSMS according to ISO 21434.
We also explain the differences between IT and OT security and the connections to other frameworks such as TISAX, ISO 27001, and the guideline ISO PAS 5112.
All standards refer to currently valid versions of respective ISO standard.
Modern vehicles are increasingly connected and therefore more vulnerable to cyberattacks. To prevent manipulation of internal vehicle networks, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) introduced mandatory cybersecurity regulations.
They require a holistic security approach across all cybersecurity aspects for products, processes, and IT systems to ensure cybersecurity throughout a vehicle’s entire lifecycle.
In addition, ISO 21434 “Road Vehicles - Cybersecurity Engineering” was introduced. This practical, process-oriented standard focuses on the security of all electrical and especially electronic systems throughout a vehicle’s lifecycle.
Cybersecurity aspects are highly relevant for vehicle manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers of hardware and/or software-based components and/or systems, engineering service providers, software and ICT infrastructure service providers, and suppliers to the automotive industry in general (development/components/production). The introduction and implementation of a cybersecurity management system (CSMS) is supported by developers (hardware/software) and development managers, IT specialists, project leaders/managers, and quality managers.
