Inspection Equipment

Personnel and installation safety, as well as the Greek ( FEK 1186/B/25-08-2003,the EN and DIN 15018, 15019, 15020 standards, impose initial and periodic inspection of all equipment which execute lifting work.

The term lifting machinery includes a wide range of equipment which covers building cranes, mobile cranes, bridge cranes, monorails, forklifts, cranes on trucks and concrete pumps. The above lifting equipment is used in most industrial and worksite areas.

The inspection and certification procedure for the safe operation of a lifting machine, includes the following steps:

  • Control/review of maintenance documents, manuals e.t.c., and certificates of previous inspection, equipment, wire ropes.
  • Inspection of compliance with marking and safety requirements
  • Inspection of mechanical, electrical parts prior to operation
  • Operational inspection with and without load
  • Operational inspection of safety devices
