ISO 14001:2026 has now been officially released

The publication of ISO 14001:2026 marks a significant milestone for organizations committed to environmental responsibility. This latest revision addresses today’s most urgent challenges, including climate change, energy efficiency, biodiversity, and sustainable supply chains.

What does this mean for your organization?

  • Greater emphasis on climate action, life-cycle thinking, and transparent communication
  • Easier integration with other management systems thanks to the Harmonized Structure
  • Increased management responsibility and stronger involvement of suppliers and service providers

Organizations have a 3-year transition period to adapt their environmental management systems. All ISO 14001:2015 certificates must be transitioned by April 2029. Early preparation is key: reviewing your current system and developing a practical transition plan now will help you minimize risks and enhance your sustainability performance.

At TÜV NORD, we are ready to support your transition with professional services– so you can move forward with confidence.
