Agri Inspection

To meet market demand, manufacturers select their materials and suppliers from all over the world and with increasing globalization, the risk of products and materials not being delivered on time and/or lacking in the quality agreed upon also grows, accordingly Clients in different parts of the world have the common need for a guarantee that ordered commodities align with given specifications.

A pre-shipment inspection for the agri commodities is a random inspection comprising a detailed inspection of finished goods before shipment. It generally takes place at the harbor (loading and discharge) on samples randomly selected according to the defined statistical sampling or otherwise agreed with the customer.

1. CMA (Collateral Management Agreement)

The services constitute a method to secure loans using physical commodities as collateral and consist mainly of approving storage facilities, taking control of these facilities, receiving goods into them and keeping these goods under our control until we are instructed to release them as per the terms of the relevant Collateral Management agreement.

2. SMA (STORAGE MONITORING AGREEMENTS)

The services include a stock monitoring system that can trace and inspect goods throughout the supply chain. Sometimes, the financing party in a transaction does not require strong control over the commodities by a third party. Instead, they want simply to secure traceability over the goods along the supply chain. We can provide either continuous monitoring services or periodic spot inspection.

3. Traditional inspection

Determine quality and quantity on behalf of importer or exporter in cases at loading or destination ports by the below services:

  • Marine survey (draft survey – holds inspection – hose test – etc…)
  • Weight supervision / weight check 
  • Tally bagged count
  • Sampling as per international standard
  • Analysis at accredited laboratories

4. Sampling & Testing

We perform sampling & testing services according to international standards or existing sample methods or a specific sample plan agreed upon with the customer. We perform sampling throughout the supply chain on a wide variety of commodities and we understand the importance of accurate sampling processes to obtain representative samples

5. Grading

We are expert in grading by providing an accurate and consistent description of the grade, class and condition of grain.

Our graders can provide grain quality analysis throughout the supply chain based on established standards and standardized procedures, techniques and equipment.

As your on-site inspection company, we offer grading, factor analysis and testing for inbound/outbound quality control.

6. Sampling

TÜV NORD performs sampling services according to international standards or existing sample methods or a specific sample plan agreed upon with the customer.
