Process Technology Manager

Process Technology Manager - Houston, TX (Preferred Location)

The role involves experience on the following Process Technology Sectors:


• Oil & Gas
• Conventional Power Plants
• Water Industry
• Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry
• Mining Industry
• Non-Ferrous Industry (cement, paper, plastic, printing, glass & wood)

Responsibilities

Business Development
• Identify and develop business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and - or new ways of reaching existing markets. (Domestic and International)
• Move opportunities to closure with follow-up meetings, presentations and calls
• Maintain close relationship with key industry contacts
• Cooperate/Coordinate with and use information from Product Managers, Key Account Managers and Sales Managers.
• Communicate individual sales KPI and perform monthly updates of sales activities to TÜV NORD Group Process Technology OBS Manager & TÜV USA Managing Director

Inspection services
• Performs ASME/NB shop and field inspection services to assigned clients, including review and verification, implementation and applicability of the manufacturers written quality control system and/or inspection specifications
• Coordinates shop inspection services
• Perform other duties as required

Required Skills

• Thorough knowledge of quality and inspection procedures (manufacturing and construction)
• Must have a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with "R" Endorsement
• Must demonstrate existing relationship with Process Technology key personnel such as Installation Managers, Operation Managers, Risk and Reliability Engineers and Engineering Managers.
• Knowledge of the USA Process Technology Market (Clients and Services).
• Negotiations skills and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Promotion of information exchange within and across other units
• Must be willing to travel >30% of time
Experience

Experience

• Required: 10 years of experience as an inspector in the Process Technology Sector (preferably in Oil & Gas or Energy Sector)
• Required: 5 years of experience on Business Development position
• Preferred: 10 years of experience in Certification or Accreditation Body
• Preferred: Experience in Multi-international Environment

Education

• Required: Bachelor/Master of Engineering Degree
• Required: Master in Business Marketing/Sales
• Preferred: Master in Management
• Preferred: Fluency in German Language

Employment Type: One-year contract with employer option to extend based on agreed target achievements. Full-time, remote, salaried position with benefits.

Physical Demands:
 Regularly required to stand or sit, reach, bend and move about customer facilities
 Various travel schedules and different time zones
 Various means of transportation, including long drive times and air travel is a requirement
