Standard DIN EN ISO 22000

TUV USA offers certification with ISO 22000, the universal standard in food safety. Standard DIN EN ISO 22000 is valid worldwide and was developed by international food experts for companies of all sizes in the food industry. It covers food supply chains as well as companies operating upstream and downstream of them.

Examples for the ISO 22000 Certification

  • Food Producers
  • Animal Feed Producers
  • Primary Production
  • Transportation and Storage
  • Wholesale and Retail Trade
  • Packaging Materials, Cleaning Materials, and Additives
  • Pest Controllers

Why use ISO 22000?

ISO 22000 is based off of ISO 9001 and includes supplements from HACCP and other related requirements. It allows for greater flexibility than the standards of the trade associations, however, it is not recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Please see FSSC 22000 if you are interested in a certification that is GFSI recognized.
