Blind Driving

Beware of low sun

In the autumn, the risk of accidents also increases due to the lower sun, especially in the morning and evening hours. If you are blinded by the sun for a second, you'll be "blind" 14 meters at a speed of 50 km/h. Especially on rural roads with wooded sections, the danger of being blinded by sudden changes of light is great.

The best protection against sun glare is good sunglasses - preferably with polarized lenses. In any case you should always put sunglasses in your vehicle. Also, when the sun is low, lower the sun visor and keep a safe distance from other road users.
