Feature:
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is an engineer’s language to communicate among functions such as Design, Manufacturing, QA etc. It is the symbolic way of showing tolerances on drawings as per ASME Y14.5M- 2018. This course introduces participants to the GD&T system, various symbols, their interpretation and application.
The course will be an interactive session which contains audio-visual presentation along with numerous examples, case studies and practical exercises.
Course Objectives
- Understand and apply all GD&T symbols
- Determine tolerance zone
- Understand basic principles of GD&T to reduce manufacturing and inspection cost
- Define datum and datum features
- Correctly apply and interpret MMC and other modifiers
- Understand the concept of Bonus Tolerance
