ISO 22716:2007

Cosmetics good Manufacturing Practices

This International standard describes Cosmetics GMPs, that all companies producing and circulating cosmetic products in the European Market have to implement, aiming to ensure consumers’ safety. It can be applied to ingredient producers, product final assemblers as well as distributors.

ISO 22716 introduces a management system approach that involves the production, , control, storage, and shipment of cosmetic products. The standard’s guidelines provide practical methods in order to manage and control factors that can affect product quality.

The new European Regulation for Cosmetics (EC) No 1223/2009 , that becomes compulsory from July 2013, will require cosmetic products to be manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). One way to demonstrate compliance with GMP is to implement the international standard ISO 22716:2007.

TUV HELLAS has a range of references in the field of Cosmetics and a team of high qualified auditors with extensive knowledge on the manufacturing processes and GMP codes to cosmetics manufacturers to meet audit requirements for ISO 22716.
