TÜV NORD has agreed on a strategic partnership with Chinese company CRRC, the world's largest manufacturer of railway vehicles.

TÜV NORD has agreed on a strategic partnership with Chinese company CRRC, the world's largest manufacturer of railway vehicles. TÜV NORD is the first certification body to enter into a partnership with the Chinese company at group level.

“We're going to be supporting CRRC in its endeavour to achieve high quality and safety standards in the international markets. At the same time, this cooperation will further improve our market access in China,” explains Dr. Ralf Jung, General Manager of TÜV NORD Systems. The two companies will collaborate in component certification and assessment, the inspection of parts and expert reports and final acceptance tests.

The agreement was signed in Berlin at the world’s largest railway technology trade fair in the context of the joint “Rail Transit Technology Summit”. Among other speakers, Zhang Junhui, a representative of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, Cui Dianguo, Chairman of CRRC, and Dr. Guido Rettig, Chairman of the Board of Management of TÜV NORD GROUP, spoke in front of more than 300 international guests about deepening Sino-German cooperation and the future development of rail transport. The new collaboration was reported on by numerous European and Asian media.
