A number of certificates according to IEC standards presented and six memoranda of understanding signed: such is the proud record that TÜV NORD Greater China can look back on in the wake of the major solar energy conference, SNEC PV Power Expo, in which the company took part.

The IEC certificates related to photovoltaic modules and certificates for the qualification of CTF laboratories. All the certificates were handed over to three Chinese companies during the event. Not only that, but six memoranda of understanding were also signed. These concerned both product and system inspections. TÜV NORD Greater China aims to use them to underpin its succesful cooperation with the companies and to lay the foundation for further fruitful collaboration in the future.

As Angella Xu, Vice President of TÜV NORD Greater China relates, many Chinese companies are investing in green energy as a means of doing something for climate protection. “We want to support them in this endeavour by making their plants as safe as possible in keeping with our motto, which is ‘Making our world safer’. Other important issues include the reliability and yield of the plants.

During the conference TÜV NORD Greater China presented two new services intended to make the monitoring of operations and maintenance of solar power plants easier. One of these services was singled out for special mention by the trade fair authority, which considered it to be one of the top 10 services presented during the trade fair.
