Food Safety

The BRC Standard for Storage & Distribution is a certification system required more and more from companies performing distribution, wholesale, storage and transport activities in the food sector and hence having implications on food safety of the products. This BRC Standard focuses on food safety and hygiene in companies performing such activities.

Key requirements for BRC certification are:

  • a detailed and well implemented HACCP system
  • a quality management system
  • control of site environment and vehicles
  • good operating practices
  • personnel hygiene regulations
  • Management of suppliers
