Current Limitation Regarding Uploading and Renewal of Certificates in the GLOBALG.A.P. Database

If your current GLOBALG.A.P. certificate (including any Add-ons) is due to expire soon, we kindly ask you to read the following information carefully.

 

 

Dear customer,

With this newsletter, we would like to inform you of a temporary issue with the GLOBALG.A.P. Database.

Currently we are facing certain technical limitations within the GLOBALG.A.P. database. We would like to emphasize that the responsibility for managing this database lies entirely with GLOBALG.A.P.. TÜV NORD Integra has no influence on this.

As you know, it is our responsibility, following a GLOBALG.A.P. inspection and a positive certification decision, to issue a certificate and register the relevant certificate data in the GLOBALG.A.P. database in a timely manner. This is important to ensure transparency in the supply chain so that buyers of your products are aware of certified production. Under normal circumstances, we are able to do this as soon as the certification decision for the new cycle has been made, even if the current certificate is still valid for some time. This ensures a smooth transition between certificates.

However, at this moment, the GLOBALG.A.P. database only allows a new certificate to be uploaded the day after the previous certificate has expired. As a result, we are currently unable to register certificates before their expiration date, even if a positive certification decision has already been made.

Additionally, it is currently not possible to prolong valid certificates in the database. This too deviates from the standard procedure and may lead to a temporary situation where no valid certificate appears in the database.

GLOBALG.A.P. is aware of this issue and has communicated about it in its Technical Newsletter of 2 April 2025 to certification bodies, which we refer you to for further details.

We understand that this situation may cause confusion and regret any inconvenience it may bring. We are monitoring the situation closely and will keep you informed of any further developments. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
