About TUV India
Founded in the 19th century (1869 A.D.) during the Industrial Revolution, the TÜV NORD was established as an industrial self-control organization for providing independent, neutral, third party services. The merger of RWTÜV and TÜV NORD in 2004 resulted in the formation of the new TÜV NORD Group. With a current workforce of over 14,000 employees across 70 countries globally, the TÜV NORD Group is one of the world’s largest Inspection, Certification & Testing organizations.
TUV India Private Limited was established in 1989 as part of the German RWTÜV group's Indian operations. Being one of the first Certification Bodies to start operations in India, TUV India has been closely associated with the quality revolution in India,. Starting with some of the earliest ISO 9001 audits by any certification body in India, TUV India, along with its parent group and CII, also organized some of the first Lead Assessor programs for capacity building in India.
With a presence in over 30 locations across India and employing more than 400 full-time personnel, TUV India is never very far from its customers.
