Inspection reports, certificates and confirmations

Testing according to DIN EN 12642

Inspection reports, certificates and confirmations of bodywork strength and payload safeguarding

The test report
For certain types of construction, testing and documentation is carried out:

  • Type of construction and equipment condition
  • Test methods and measurements
  • Analysis and documentation

The test report remains with the client (vehicle manufacturer, construction company, haulier, etc.).

The certificate
For a defined (tested) vehicle/a vehicle type is approved:

  • Verified structural stability
  • Relationship of test force to maximum permitted load in the direction of/in the opposite direction to and perpendicular to the direction of travel
  • Effectiveness of loading security through construction alone (form lock)
  • Limits of verified effect e.g. required minimum coefficient of friction
  • The certificate must be carried by the driver as proof of verified load safety
  • The specifications in the certificate regarding block gaps, coefficient of friction and load capacity must be observed
  • The vehicle manufacturer (certificate holder) produces for each vehicle (construction) a copy of the certificate and confirms the validity for that vehicle using the vehicle ID number
