From A to Z: We check and test all components within the entire rail system. In doing so, we look much further than simply what is required to meet regulations. Because rail systems consist of a wide range of subsystems and components. As well as line networks and stationary installations, there are also rail vehicles that transport people and goods travel on this infrastructure. Also part of the rail system are, for example, conventional railways, maglev railways, metros and light rail transit vehicles or people-movers.
TÜV NORD takes a holistic approach to your systems, taking into consideration technical equipment, employees, other transport system participants, procedures and the environment. With the help of recognised experts (EBA, ERA), we offer you comprehensive testing services and assessment on the technical safety of rail systems, including evaluation of operator regulations and the residual risks to passengers.
Our rail experts deal with system-related matters as well as issues concerning operating rules and regulations, and required standards for rail systems in freight transport and local passenger transport through to high-speed rail transport. The CENELEC standards EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 for example and the European harmonized specifications for interoperability (TSI) form the basis for our work here.
