The higher the prices at the filling pumps, the more interesting the question: Is my car's fuel consumption above the norm? We will determine the exact consumption using state-of-the-art facilities.
How much resistance does your car have?
Before examining your car's consumption, we check the precise rolling and air resistances on the road. We then transfer the value identified in the practical drive test to the roller type test stand. This must simulate precisely the same resistance.
Vehicles which emit lots of smoke consume lots of fuel.
There is a direct correlation between emissions and fuel consumption. Correspondingly, we now measure the emissions of your vehicle on the roller type test stand. The CO2 emissions are used to calculate the fuel consumption.

Test procedure:
- Coasting tests for determining the specific running resistance.
- Emissions measurements for urban and extra-urban driving in cold condition (oil starting temperature of 20 °C).
- The consumption is calculated on the basis of the emissions measurement results.
We split the test into three parts: Urban consumption, extra-urban conditions and overall consumption. This test procedure provides realistic results as it also take the cold start phase into account.
Who can issue fuel consumption appraisals?
Only once an EC Federal authority has approved an organisation as an EC test laboratory can they issue fuel consumption appraisals. Our vehicle technology test laboratory is accredited as a European test laboratory as per DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 and DIN EN 45001. We have been carrying out emissions and fuel consumption measurements on cars, lorry engines and motorcycle since 1983.
