Fire examination
After fires break out in vehicles, buildings, or technical plants, people always ask why. TÜV NORD performs fire examinations together with experienced experts.
First, the scene of the fire is visited in order to localise the area of the fire outbreak, and traces indicating the cause of ignition are documented and stored. Numerous experts, for instance in the area of electrical systems or materials, as well as laboratories within the TÜV NORD Group are available for more extensive investigations. Fire tests can be performed within the framework of event reconstruction. Conclusions can be drawn regarding the cause of ignition by means of evaluation of material and energy results, and these are assessed and substantiated by experts.
