Beware of pitfalls when buying a car
Be careful when you're selling your car: Some buyers "forget" to deregister or reregister the vehicle under their own name which is required by law. The consequence: You, as the seller, still have to pay the car tax and possibly even the insurance.
Better safe than sorry
We recommend sending, in addition to the sales contract, the deregistration information and buyer's insurance information to the registration office. The best way is to download the appropriate sample forms as PDF documents.
