Ambient air
Ambient air analytics with passive collectors
Passive collectors are an easy way to monitor ambient air for harmful substances over a longer time period. The collectors are mounted in the rooms to be monitored and then analyzed.
What is the process?
- After the order is sent and prepaid, we send you the passive collectors with a simple user manual.
- One collector is hung up in each room for a period of two weeks in a location that lets air flow in freely from all directions.
- Then you send the collector back to us.
- After 2 to 4 weeks, we send you a report on the analysis results and the evaluation by post.
What sets us apart?
We have many years of experience in professional testing of room interiors. Our TÜV NORD screening procedure, which is based on a learning database, is the basis of this incredibly powerful testing method.
Which services do we offer?
- General ambient air contamination - Measurement using the thermodesorption GC/MS method
The use of thermodesorpotions - passive collectors makes it possible to test your ambient air for possible harmful substances or abnormalities with respect to VOCs, i.e. volatile organic compounds. - VOC - Measurement with ORSA-GC/FID method
ORSA passive collectors can also be used to perform another method for testing ambient air for possible contamination by VOCs. Here, active carbon is used in the collectors to bond with the harmful substances. The components are verified with a flame ionisation detector (FID) and external standards are used for quantification. - Formaldehyde in room interiors - Measurement using HPLC method
Formaldehyde passive collectors also offer an affordable and easy way to have your ambient air tested for formaldehyde content. A benchmark value is used to evaluate the results.
