Environmental reporting at operational level
Industrial enterprises must publish information on their air, water and ground pollutant emissions as well as where they dispose of their waste and waste water in a central register (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR)) by means of online data entry.
Firstly, the system should give companies the opportunity of announcing measures to reduce their emissions. Secondly, citizens should be able to access information about pollutant emissions in their vicinity.
We have experience in reporting, creating emission reports, for example, and we offer our support.
Which companies must prepare emission reports?
Operators of company facilities in which, as per article 5 of the E-PRTR ordinance one or more of the activities described in appendix I are performed and in which the capacity threshhold values in appendix II are exceeded, must be entereed in the PRTR register..
What is the process?
The federal and state governments provide companies with a standarad nationwide system for data entry (system for operatopnal environment data reporting - BUBE-online). In future, this system will also provide help with entering reports about large firing installations (13. BImSchV) and emission reports in accordance with 11.BImSchV (EKL).
Companies thus have the advantage that once they have entered their data, it can be used in the future for all further reporting duties.
Which services do we offer?
- In co-operation with you and, where necessary, the responsible supervisory authorities, we clarify which data must be entered for which operational units.
- We evaluate the results available to you from emission measurements and compile the emissions of your facility.
- We calculate the emissions of your faciltiy based on the data supplied by you about energy and mass balances or analysis results of your system.
- Alternatively, we detemine the emissionf of your facility on the basis of estimations, taking into consideration measuring results, mass balance or performance and design data of comparable facilities of the same type.
- We support you with data entry and reporting in the electronic form requireed by the responsible supervisory authorities.
Which standards and statutory regulations form the basis of our work?
The basis for operational environment reporting is the E-PRTR ordinance.
Reports concerning large firing installations are regulated in the 13th ordinance on the implementation of the German Federal Immission Control Act (13. BImSchV) and the emission reposts in 11. BImSchV.
