Water
Cooling and process water
Process water (also called industrial water) is water that is used for specific technical, commercial or agricultural applications. It must satisfy the technical requirements of the respective processes and should fulfil minimum hygiene requirements. Having separate systems for process water and drinking water supply is standard in the industry.
We advise you in the issues surrounding the process water you use.
The consistency of cooling water must be such that heat transmission in the cooling units is not hampered due to deposits (e.g. algae, crusts, corrosion products). Supply of connected operations with cooling water and the inspection of cooling water in feeding systems are significant cost factors and can represent an environmental hazard if not used in the proper manner. Therefore, from a technical and commercial viewpoint, the ideal application of cooling water in feeding systems and cooling towers is a significant component in operational planning. We provide you with our experts to clarify these questions.
Which services do we offer?
- We record the water quality in cooling and air-conditioning systems taking into account the relevant standards (water-chemistry and microbiological parameters)
- We determine the quality of the cooling and process water
- We make recommendations about whether your untreated water resources are suitable for use
- We assess corrosion and deposit problems
- We optimize the water-relevant operation of your systems specific to the system itself
- We monitor cooling water feeding systems with regard to hardness stabilisation and corrosion protection.
What sets us apart?
An experienced team made up of chemists, engineers and technicians analyses and evaluates water samples in our very own Institute for Chemistry and Environmental Protection.
