Designing testing intervals and scopes

TÜV NORD provides support in designing recurring inspections

The Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health creates certain leeway for systems operators in designing testing intervals and scopes of systems requiring monitoring. Condition monitoring is a key factor in inspecting components of steam boiler facilities and high pressure lines that conduct water or steam.

The condition monitoring includes the following building blocks below that must be optimally designed in line with the optimised testing intervals and scopes:

  1. Applied processes for designing and calculations
  2. Documented quality of the system components
  3. Applied methods in analysing the condition / diagnostics during operation
  4. Applied methods in analysing the condition / diagnostics when the system is idle
  5. Methods in assessing the system condition with the derived measures for the testing concept, among other things.

TÜV NORD has expertise, concepts, and solutions in all 5 points and provides operators with support and advice in designing recurring inspections.
