Promotion of training and further education

Furthereducationofpeople with low qualifications and theemployed older Workers in Companies - WeGebAU

As a special programme of the employment agency, WeGebAU is supposed to allow people with low qualifications
and older workers, to improve their employability and chances for employment in order to avoid becoming unemployed.

Companies can use this promotional tool to counter the increasing shortage of specialists and to increase their competitiveness.
The WeGebAU concept provides employees and employers with opportunities to increase the knowledge of the employees in the company to their mutual benefit. The submission of applications is always done jointly by the employer and the employee. We will be at your side if there are any questions.


Further education of personnel with few qualifications

The further education of people with low qualifications can be subsidised in companies if the employee has been working outside of his field at least four years or has no training, i.e. no recognized professional certification. Another requirement is that the educational institution and the selected qualification measure be certified as per AZWV, a distinction which we have as an acknowledged educational institution. The employer continues to pay the unemployment compensation during the period of further education.

Subsidies for workers with low qualifications:

  • The employee can receive subsidies from the employment agency for the course costs, travel costs and any lodging costs.
  • For the time period in which the employee does not work due to the further education, the employer can receive an allowance to the unemployment compensation.


Further education of older employees

Further education of older employees in a company can be subsidised if the employee is 45 years old or older and the company employs fewer than 250 employees. Another requirement is that the educational institution and the selected qualification measure be certified as per AZWV, a distinction which we have as an acknowledged educational institution. The employer continues to pay the unemployment compensation during the period of further education.

Subsidies for older employees:

  • The employee can receive subsidies from the employment agency for the course costs, travel costs and any lodging costs.
  • The employer does not receive an allowance to the unemployment compensation however.
